This is my second installment of New Music Friday. This has certainly felt like very long and lonely week, but keeping my focus on creating has been a source of gratitude during solitude.

This week's project is a multi-pronged public art project designed to inspire empathy and action across the diverse population of the USA. Harnessing physical and virtual community networking, photography, sound field recordings and music compositions. It also aims to explore and connect the landscapes and people of this divided nation.

After filmmaker Dani Prados sent me these samples from around the country, I also layered in different instruments on top of these city samples. While in isolation this week, I found it comforting to hear people, nature, space, air, cars, and sirens. It gives me a sliver of hope, and I hope that you can sit down and fast forward to moments of enjoying these spaces that our country offers.
